For instance, as well as MW and FM stations you can listen to cricket commentaries and parliamentary debates on Long Wave, and tune in to broadcasts from all over the world (Alaska to Australia, Moscow to Montevideo), via the two Short Wave bands. It even gives you VHF Marine band and Air Band reception so you can listen in to exchanges between ships and civilian aircraft. Easy to operate with large rotary controls, sliding band selector switches and LED backlit tuning dial, it’s finished with a headphone socket and carry handle. Powered by 4xD batteries (not supplied), or the mains (detachable lead supplied), its available in Black or Silver and measures a compact 20x27x9cm.

To the Channel Islands, it can take 6 working days and costs of £14.99.
